🍲🧺❄️🫖🤰🏻My Nourishing Quick Meal Prep Tips - Postpartum Edition ⬇️

Hello friends,

Preparing for nourishing meals can feel daunting especially if you have left it to the last minute. I love supporting clients by sharing simple tips to make postpartum meal prep easy and healing!

These are a few of my favorite tips ⬇️

❄️triple batch two soups per week for 6 weeks and freeze for meals

🫖For the next six weeks prep two soups per weekend and simply triple batch. This can land you around 36 soups for postpartum. Depending on the servings size, you will have about 40 days worth of meals. Again, it can sound complicated but I encourage you to find soups with minimal ingredients but make them with the most organic nourishing produce.

❄️Slow-cooked meat rebuilds damaged tissues with essential amino acids

🫖If there is something I will always share it is that your body needs essential nutrients available in high quality pasture raised grass-fed and finished meats. Take time to understand how to cook these proteins to support your digestion. I prefer slow-cooking every type of meat for soups and stews. Your body is rebuilding tissue and recovering after blood loss and Placentia loss. Take this time to recover in the most nourishing way while keeping as many plants in your diet too.

❄️Prep oatmeal bars for midnight snacks between feedings

🫖In between meals for yourself and baby feedings, your body will need nutrients. My favorite trick to supporting momma’s bodies during the late hours of movement instead of rest is to create nourishing snacks like oat bars. Focus on less sugars and more healing grains, protein and fats. I love a simple oat bar to support lactation essential nutrients as well.

❄️Prune water for after birth digestion support

🫖That dreaded after birth bowel movement is something in the past. My clients feel nothing but reassured and confident in their body’s abilities by knowing what nourishing foods to use. Make yourself a big batch of prune water and simple store in the freezer with these cubes. I love warming it up into a tea for mommas for after birth sipping.
