Instagram vs Momma Reality 🍂POSTPARTUM EDITION🍂

😴👩🏼‍🍼🎀🧺🍲🍂 the after birth journey looks different than on IG 🤭🥲⬇️

As much as I love social media for inspiration and normalizing, I have seen it be a blessing but also a source of frustration and disappointment for my momma clients for many years. What we share in this space doesn’t take into account all the layers. 🤗

🍂The photo of a full meal prepped fridge while being 2 weeks postpartum 🤍 doesn’t show the meal delivery service

🍂The reel of laundry folded and sorted 🤍 doesn’t show the days it took and the numerous pauses to feed baby just to get it done

🍂The story of coffee dates with baby in stroller,  momma freshly showered and dressed 🤍 doesn’t show the weeks of preparing and grandma helping in the background to get that hot latte in hand

We equally want to know the reality while wanting to be inspired and innocent in our own journey. While I encourage optimism and positivity while preparing for your postpartum, knowing that your journey will be unique and all your own helps us be at ease once postpartum.

Your journey will be yours and it will be normal for you. Don’t compare, be inspired but know that there are so many layers. Postpartum has so many layers 💗🍂🤗
