🍲🧺❄️🫖🤰🏻5 Unique Ways to Prepare for Your Post Birth Recovery- Postpartum Edition

Hello friends,

There are SO many ways to prepare for your postpartum recovery! I offer one on one prenatal virtual and in person sessions for families as well as my self paced postpartum course. If you are looking for even more unique ways to heal check these tips out.

These are a few of my favorite tips ⬇️

❄️sipping on Chinese jujube tea all day

🫖There is so many vital nutrients available in Chinese jujube red dates. These nutrients can support your body’s circulation and recovery. I love baking a big batch of this tea prenatally and freezing for quick mugs during the day. Or simply make a pot of tea as needed.

❄️a bathroom basket filled with remedies made of calendula

🫖I am very simple when it comes to using herbs during postpartum. There are so many and I am not an herbalist. But I do encourage families to research about some specific herbs. My postpartum course covers a simple herb workshop for mommas wanting to learn more about herbs. Calendula has such beautiful healing benefits for the skin especially after tears and incisions. Looking to learn more about calendula and many other herbs?

❄️dried flowers on the beside table for cheer

🫖We can easily overlook the bedside table for postpartum prep but it is such an important space. You will be looking to this space daily to provide all of your essentials. But you can also find yourself loosing joy between the constant eat and sleep routines and late night feedings. I love to do things for my momma client’s future selfs - what will bring you joy and cheer during the late nights and early mornings? Some gorgeous dried flowers are zero maintenance and all beauty and fun!

❄️cold cabbage leaves for engorgement

🫖Cabbage leaves provide so much support for the breasts during engorgement. I love having a head of cabbage ready in the fridge for support during the first week after birth. Cabbage contains anti-irritant and antibiotic properties which can also relieve tissue congestion, improve blood flow, help with drainage and relieve engorgement.

❄️adding sweet and savory everything on a bowl of congee

🫖Congee - broken down rice in liquid. I love congee for postpartum because it is a very easy digestible meal for after birth. Simply make a big batch of congee and add on top any ingredients you’d like. Some mommas like it for breakfast with fruit and nuts. Others love it savory with bone broth and some veggies. Keep it simple!
